Post Malone's 'Psycho,' Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Headed for Top Five Debut on Billboard Hot 100 Next Week
Post Malone's «Psycho,» featuring Ty Dolla $ign, is aiming to roar onto next week's Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated March 10) in the top five.
The song, released on Republic Records, could likely start as high as No. 2, perhaps matching his best bow; «Rockstar,» featuring 21 Savage, debuted at No. 2 last October, before spending eight weeks at No. 1.
Incumbent No. 1 Drake's «God's Plan» appears set to maintain its spot on top for a sixth total week at No. 1.
Let's run some projections. Highlights of next week's Hot 100, which blends streaming, airplay and sales data, according to Nielsen Music, will post on Billboard.com Monday (March 5), with all charts posting the following day (March)
Based on preliminary data projecting the tracking period feeding next week's Hot 100, «Psycho» could draw over 45 million U.S. streams in the week ending March 1, likely sparking a No. 2 debut on the Streaming Songs chart. It should arrive atop the Digital Song Sales chart, selling over 70,000 downloads. The song is also likely to draw over 10 million in radio audience in the tracking week ending March 4.
«God's Plan» appears safe to stay at No. 1 on the Hot 100 with over 75 million U.S. streams, 50,000 downloads sold and 80 million in airplay reach.
Post Malone should score his third Hot 100 top 10, following «Congratulations» (featuring Quavo), which hit No. 8 last July, and «Rockstar» (which ranked at No. 6 on the March 3-dated Hot 100, after logging its first 22 weeks on the chart in the top five).

Post Malone books June 2 concert at Jacobs Pavilion
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Fresh off their no. 1 hit «Rockstar,» rappers Post Malone and 21 Savage are hitting the road this spring for a 28-city tour that includes a stop at Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica on June 2.
West-coast based hip hoppers SOB x RBE will serve as the opening act.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. A presale for Citi Card Members begins Tuesday at 2 p.m. and goes until Feb. 22 at 10 p.m.
Each pair of tickets comes with a copy of «Beerbongs & Bentleys,» Post Malone's follow up to his smash debut album «Stoney.» That disc spawned huge hits like «White Iverson» and «Congratulations.»
The new album still doesn't have a release date, but Post Malone's new single, «Psycho» ft. Ty Dolla $ign, drops Friday.
Post Malone's «Psycho» Looks To Rival «Rockstar»'s Opening Numbers
Post Malone has been rising steadily since the success of «White Iverson», celebrating his first number 1 song in the 21 Savage-assisted «Rockstar,» which debuted at number 2 behind Cardi B's «Bodak Yellow.» His recent collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign could end up being the singer's first song to debut at the top spot, as long as it beats out some heavy competition. Drake's «God's Plan» has been sitting atop the Billboard charts since it was released, shattering records and appearing as though it would not fade out, at least in the near future. If Post has anything to say about it, though, «Psycho» will knock Drake down to claim the Billboard throne.
Since the song was debuted, it seemed to have the potential to be Posty's next buzzworthy track, following up the success of «Rockstar» and «Congratulations.» According to Pigeons & Planes, the song has been tearing it up on streaming sites, jumping over «God's Plan» in the United States on Spotify and sitting at number 2 globally. Apple Music is seeing similar success from the Post Malone single, with reports that the track will break «Rockstar»'s first-week numbers, which is considerable since the song broke the service's initial-week streaming record.

Post Malone Says “the U.S. Government Is the Biggest Lie”
While spending some time in Canada, Post Malone got together with the team at Montreality for a quick sit-down. During the interview, Post discussed everything from his favorite cartoons and video games, to life as an old man, his appreciation for 50 Cent, and posers wearing band T-shirts.
The standout excerpt from the conversation however came when the musician was asked about the biggest lie. Post quickly became animated, dishing on how the U.S. government is not what it used to be.
“The biggest lie in the world is the U.S. government,” he exclaimed. “It’s a f*cking reality show and I think there’s gonna be a lotta weird sh*t that happens within our generation that really changes the way of the world.”

Post Malone Shows Appreciation For 50 Cent
Montreality put out the unreleased bits from their exclusive Post Malone interview, in which the singer/rapper took a moment to reflect on his musical inheritance of 50 Cent, labelling him a singer before anything else. He chose to infer that singing, unlike rapping, is not something that can be learned through osmosis.
Holding his cigarette like its a sacred object for most of the interview, Post gets serious when the conversation veers towards 50 cent. He refers to 50 as a «real legend,» mentions him in the same breath as Joey Crack and other NY acts. Growing up in the Syracuse area, a NorthEast stronghold, where G-Unit basically dominated the airwaves for a good 4 year stretch. It begs the question whether enough people appreciate Curtis' musical instincts, and focus instead on his more heralded entrepreneurial side.
Check out the whole segment below where he also touches on the US Government, cartoons, video games, and other topics.

Post Malone's «Beerbongs & Bentleys»: Everything We Know
Post Malone has become a divisive cultural figure. In the past, the “Psycho” singer has caught flak for his foot-in-mouth approach to interviews; prior comments on a lack of emotion in hip-hop music went viral, providing his detractors with a fresh batch of ammunition. And while his origin story tells of a man enamored with Bob Dylan, Kurt Cobain and their ilk, Post has managed to solidify himself as a fixture in the game. Case in point, artists like 21 Savage, Migos, 50 Cent, Kanye West, and Gucci Mane have deemed him a worthy collaborator.
By now, Post’s fanbase have no doubt played out Stoney and “Rockstar” in equal measure. In the nick of time, Posty came through with a new single off Beerbongs & Bentleys, the Ty Dolla $ign assisted “Psycho.” Despite his vocal disparagers, “Psycho” picked up where “Rockstar” left off. With a soft, hypnotic instrumental, “Psycho” differs from its predecessor in tone. For one, Post’s latest is set in the major key, giving it an immediately feel-good vibe. Where “Rockstar” seemed content to celebrate the negatives of hedonism, “Psycho” is like a spiritual successor to “Congratulations.”
What does that mean for Beerbongs & Bentleys? In truth, little is known about Post’s anticipated sophomore project. It’s the rare breed of A-list album in which information remains scarce; perhaps that says something about Post’s rising status. In all honesty, Posty has managed to keep this one close to the belt. Here’s what we do know.

Bruno Mars: Why Kiwi concertgoers are in for a 24 Karat treat this week
Pint-sized popstar Bruno Mars is bringing his 24K Magic Tour to Auckland's Spark Arena this week, a show that's been earning rave reviews from Helsinki to Houston and Berlin to Bogota over the past 11 months.
All four dates in the City of Sails have essentially been sold out, although concert promoter Live Nation made available some limited release tickets for the quartet of performances on Monday.
Audiences and critics around the globe have been impressed with the 32-year-old Hawaiian-born singer-songwriter's Energiser-bunny style enthusiasm and the party style atmosphere his show creates.
«With that much energy right out of the gate, Mars set the tone for the evening. He was there to party and he wanted everyone to party with him. The audience happily obliged, succumbing to the beat to dance along with the entire band, which moved in unison to every track.»

This year, for your reading enjoyment, we have compiled critical reviews of performances with Bruno Mars in Auckland, New Zealand; Demi Lovato in San Jose; Dead & Company in Sunrise, Fla.; Fall Out Boy in Brisbane; Tyga in Copenhagen; Iced Earth in Louisville; Chase Rice in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Bruno Mars @ Spark Arena in New Zealand, N.Z., Feb. 27-28 – “Mars’ popularity is due to his well-rounded showmanship, and I would argue after seeing last night’s show that he's one of his generation’s best performers. But I would also argue that he's over-polished and although he puts on a hell of a show, his own personality gets lost amongst the nostalgic references he sticks so closely to.” – Ellen Falconer / RNZ
Demi Lovato @ SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., Feb. 28 – “Lovato was at her best… in the slower segments, where her personality and voice had the time and space to shine, while she sometimes seemed a bit lost and overwhelmed by the big dance numbers.” – Jim Harrington / The Mercury News
Dead & Company @ BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla., Feb. 26 – “Dead & Company made its Florida debut on Monday night with a powerful and emotional show that will be remembered for years to come. The rescheduled date, due to guitarist and vocalist John Mayer’s emergency appendectomy in December, couldn’t have been more timely following the horrific tragedy in nearby Parkland just 12 days prior.” – Jeff Cornell / Variety

Post Malone, Ty Dolla Sign And Justin Timberlake Send New Singles Into The U.K. Top 10
Drake’s “God’s Plan” holds at No. 1 in the U.K. yet again, collecting a sixth frame in charge in the country. The hip-hop star’s latest leads a steady top three, as the trio of tunes that owned Nos. 1 through 3 last time around remain exactly where they were. Rudimental, Macklemore, Jess Glynne and Dan Caplen’s “These Days” keeps at No. 2, while Dua Lipa’s “IDGAF” is also a non-mover at No. 3.
The first new track inside the top 10 comes from rapper Post Malone, who debuts his latest single “Psycho” at No. 4. The song, which features Ty Dolla Sign, is now Malone’s second top 10 in the country, following the massive success of his recent smash “Rockstar.” Ty Dolla Sign has been here before as a featured guest on songs like Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home” and Jason Derulo’s “Swalla,” both of which helped him appear inside the region for the first times in his career.
After breaking into the area last frame, Marshmello and Anne-Marie’s “Friends” bolts from No. 9 to No. 5, granting both acts another top five hit. The next four songs on the list all collect another week inside the uppermost tier, though they are beginning to fall. Portugal. The Man’s “Feel It Still” slides to No. 6, Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “All the Stars” dips to No. 7, Keala Settle’s “This Is Me” slips to No. 8 and Liam Payne and Rita Ora’s Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack cut “For You” declines to No. 9.

Justin Timberlake acts like a tourist in New York
Justin Timberlake managed to get in some family time between the Super Bowl and this week’s performance at the Brit Awards.
Spies tell us the singer visited the National Geographic Encounter: Ocean Odyssey exhibition in Times Square last weekend with his son, Silas, and some pals, where “he waited in line like everyone else.”
Surprisingly — especially since Timberlake performed for 103 million people during the Super Bowl halftime show just two weeks earlier — “no one recognized him until one of the guides caught on halfway through. Silas was playing and interacting with various scenes, like the coral reef and digital sea lions. When they exited, the retail area was playing *NSYNC and Justin told the guide, ‘I like your choice in music.’?”

Why Justin Timberlake Says His Son Will 'Never Play Football'
Count Justin Timberlake among the parents who have reservations about letting their children play football.
The pop singer, who is headlining this Sunday’s Super Bowl LII halftime show, told reporters this week that they should not expect his 2-year-old son Silas to ever suit up for a football game. At an NFL press event, a reporter asked Timberlake—who had just jokingly offered to take the field on Sunday as a wide receiver for the New England Patriots—whether or not he would be supportive if his son wanted a career in the NFL.
“Uh, he will never play football. No, no,” Timberlake said.
The singer-actor then laughed before expanding on that shut-down response. “It’s kind of like that thing where my main objective is that he become a great person,” Timberlake clarified. “And, if he wants to get into the arts or sports, then yeah, I would fully support that. I think I can hopefully offer him some advice on what to do and what not to do... but right now we’re working on our manners. That’s a big deal in our house right now.” Actress Jessica Biel is Timberlake’s wife and Silas’ mother.
